A catch-all feature that is activated for a given mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. To state it differently, if you delete an email address and somebody still sends an email message to it, or to any mistyped address under the same domain, you’ll receive the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be vital if you run some company, for example. Since you may start receiving junk email messages, you can use the catch-all option with anti-spam filters in order to get only authentic email messages in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting
You will be able to configure a catch-all e-mailbox without any effort in case you’ve got a shared website hosting plan with us. The Email Manager in our custom Hepsia hosting Control Panel is fully featured, yet incredibly easy to work with, and it will permit you to activate different options, including the catch-all one, with only several clicks of the mouse. All the mailboxes that you have will be displayed in alphabetical order in this section and to the right of each one of them you will see a mini "Catch-all" icon. Clicking on it once will activate this option, clicking it once more will disable it. As you can have just one such mailbox per domain name, our system will inform you if you already have another one with this feature enabled or if you’ve got active email forwarding.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
A catch-all address can be configured with several clicks if you’ve got a Linux semi-dedicated server with us. The semi-dedicated account will be managed via our custom Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will be able to set up mailboxes under any domain hosted there. To activate the catch-all functionality for a given mailbox, you’ll need to click on the icon with the exact same name, which will be on the right side of each mailbox. Deactivating the feature can be achieved in the exact same way and will not take more than a click either. If the catch-all feature has already been enabled for a particular domain name, you’ll receive a warning text message. The same goes if the mailbox that you wish to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never deactivate or modify any feature automatically.
